Fulton Place

PresCare Fulton Place has been designed to provide support to people of all ages, throughout the Cairns and North Queensland region, with a special focus on dementia care. We offer a range of flexible and coordinated services to ensure clients receive the help they need to live well, remain independent and stay at home for as long as possible.

With a focus on enablement, the centre’s home-style environment allows clients to feel at ease in their surroundings. It includes a large kitchen space, a room for movies and TV (or just a quiet space to rest), an ever-changing sensory garden, and safe, landscaped outdoor spaces for community activities and relaxation.

Social outings

Fulton Place conducts group excursions weekly. And because we strongly believe in clients staying connected to their local communities, local events are incorporated into our weekly program from the range of activities to choose from. Shorter daily outings are also part of the weekly recreational program. Contact us if you would like an example copy of the program or sign up to the Fulton email to receive our social activity schedule that changes weekly.

Meals

Delicious home-style meals are prepared on site and enjoyed by our clients in the large and comfortable dining area. Our menus are updated regularly, in consultation with a dietician to ensure they are balanced, nutritious and meet all dietary requirements and clients are encouraged to participate in meal selection and preparation if they choose. All individual tastes and dietary needs are catered for.

Transportation

Transportation to and from Fulton Place is available at reasonable cost. Bookings are essential.

Overnight stays

Our overnight accommodation is boutique & home-style with individually furnished & air conditioned rooms. Relax on the balcony overlooking the garden or in the upstairs lounge. We like to call it Fulton Retreat: a home away from home with individualised support.

Fees and charges

Fulton Place is covered by Consumer Directed Care (CDC) funding (Home Care Package funding) where applicable.

Private payments for clients without packages are also available.

Other funding options may be available. Our Cairns office would be happy to assist explaining these options to you.
