News – PresCare acquires Walk on Wheels

PresCare Chief Executive Officer Greg Skelton announced this week that the aged care organisation has acquired mobility and special needs rehabilitation equipment supplier, Walk on Wheels.

“The acquisition of Walk on Wheels is a good strategic fit for PresCare,” Mr Skelton says. “It will allow us to vertically integrate a product line that we can promote to our large, and growing, client base.”

“The implementation of Consumer Directed Care on 1 July 2015 will also give us new opportunities to promote Walk on Wheels to existing and new clients.”

Mr Skelton confirmed that there will be no impact on Walk on Wheels clients, as the brand will remain in place.

Walk on Wheels has five company-owned stores and licenses the brand to a number of operators across Australia It is a well-known and respected brand in its field.

Mr Skelton said that PresCare is confident that the potential for Walk on Wheels as a business abounds.

“PresCare will offer the business new markets, including access to our six aged care facilities, three independent living communities, seven community care regions and our Day Therapy Centre.”

“Employees and clients of Walk on Wheels will also have access to allied health professionals for advice, product development opportunities and training.”
