Lake Sherrin celebrates staff achievement
Last week the PresCare Lake Sherrin community came together for a celebratory morning tea to congratulate Lifestyle Assistant, Melinda Rutherford, who has just achieved her Certificate IV in Leisure and Health through Leading Age Services Australia (LASA).
It has been a huge commitment to balance full-time work and online study for the past 18 months and also family life with her daughter.
“One of the highlights was in learning the ‘why’ behind what we do,” said an ecstatic Melinda.
Melinda has thrived and grown through this course and now the only problem is slowing her down! An indication of this is that she is excited to, at some point in the future, continue with her studies, especially in the area of dementia and activities.
Melinda would like to express her sincere gratitude to Lynda Bury, Lake Sherrin’s Facility Manager, for facilitating the opportunity for her to advance her knowledge and experience.
Congratulations Melinda and we look forward to seeing what you achieve next!
