Starting out in 1985 in humble beginnings at the Inala Community Health Centre and Church of Christ building, PresCare Inala Place has grown significantly to meet demand for its services and is now located in its own large, purpose-built centre.
It offers day and overnight stays, allowing for a short-stay recovery period following a hospital visit or for primary carers to take a well-deserved break. With a total of 5 bedrooms, the centre is equipped to accommodate singles or couples in a comfortable, home-like environment.
Committed to providing a welcoming, fun, and socially inclusive environment, Inala Place provides the following services to enable people to remain socially connected and enjoying each day in their community.
To a variety of locations that appeal to a range of interests and desires.
Delicious home-style meals are provided, including morning tea and a 2-course lunch prepared on site and enjoyed by our clients in the large and comfortable dining area. Our menus are updated regularly, in consultation with a dietician to ensure they are balanced, nutritious and meet all dietary requirements
A convenient bus service is available to transport clients from Inala and surrounding suburbs to and from the centre. Monday-Friday pick-up is between 8.30am and 9.30am, and drop off between 2pm and 3pm. Bookings are essential.
Fees and charges
Inala Place provides a range of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services – including respite and allied health – to people aged 65 and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 and over, and their carers. Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Packages can also be accessed for funding, and Qld Community Care Services (QCCS) for those under 65 years of age. For some activities, dependant on individual funding that has been approved, fees and charges may apply.
Private payment for clients who are not eligible for this funding is also available.
As a Cottage Respite centre, no ACAT assessment is required to access services at Inala Place. There is a daily fee for the overnight respite care program, however some financial assistance may be available depending on individual circumstances.
Additionally, funding is available for those under 65 with a disability (assessment is required).
We welcome personal visits to Inala Place, to discuss your specific needs and take a tour of the centre. To arrange your visit, please contact Site Co-ordinator, Kris Jones.
