PresCare Fulton Place Respite Care has been designed to provide support care to people of all ages, but with a special focus on dementia care throughout the Cairns and North Queensland region. We offer a range of flexible and co-ordinated services to ensure clients receive the help they need to live well, remain independent and stay at home for as long as possible.
With a focus on enablement, the centre’s home-style environment allows clients to feel at ease in their surroundings. It includes a large kitchen space, a room for movies and TV (or just a quiet space to rest), a growing and ever changing sensory garden, and outdoor spaces for community activities and relaxation.

Fulton Place conducts group excursions weekly. And because we strongly believe in clients staying connected to their local communities, if there is a local event on then this can become an activity of choice. Short time outings each week are also part of the weekly recreational program.
Delicious home-style meals are prepared on site and enjoyed by our clients in the large and comfortable dining area. Our menus are updated regularly, in consultation with a dietician to ensure they are balanced, nutritious and meet all dietary requirements
Transportation to and from Fulton Place is available at a cost. Bookings are essential.
Fees and charges
Fulton Place is covered by Consumer Directed Care (CDC) funding where applicable.
Private payments for clients without packages are also available.
Other funding options may be available and our Site Co-ordinator would be happy to assist with explaining these options to you.
We welcome personal visits to Fulton Place Respite Care, either to discuss your specific needs or simply to just take a tour of the centre. To arrange your visit, please contact Site Co-ordinator, Sheryl McCullough.
