Assistant in Nursing – Vela Residential Facility

We are seeking exceptional Assistant In Nursing personnel who are committed to providing services to people in their greatest need. You will reflect our values of Care, Deliver, Discover and Respect to utilise your expertise in providing quality aged care to patients and transforming the lives of those you serve. Our Residential Facilities take pride in providing a caring and friendly atmosphere where residents are involved in decisions relating to their health, care needs and social needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and experienced Assistant Nurses who have an interest in working in the not-for-profit and residential sector. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in a team and independently, sound interpersonal skills and a commitment to a continuous improvement approach.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and/or experience are essential:
- Extensive experience providing specialised Dementia care
- Certificate III in Aged Care Work or Home & Community Care or equivalent
- Experience in Residential Aged Care
- Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in contemporary aged care services
- Previous experience working in a dementia unit (preferred)
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards
The successful applicant will need to have the ability to work weekends and be available to work across all shifts.
